New to the forum. I am a semi-retired teacher/ construction worker living in Grass Valley, CA, where I have worked as a high school resource teacher and Summer construction worker for the past 40 years. Although I taught across the entire curriculum, my current interests are in wood/metal working and mechanics (automotive & motorcycle). Three years ago I went through some life-changing events and I retired from the heavy side of construction (my aging body), but still work at the high school teaching mostly wood/metal (Ag) and auto shop classes, both paid and as a volunteer. I'm always learning, especially with all the constantly evolving technology in the workplace. Working with people has always been and continues to be rewarding, especially with kids, teaching "hands-on" technical skills that are needed for the real world of work. It's the creative, analytical,project-oriented side of life that keeps my juices flowing. Slogans: "To be is to do" and "What, when, where, why & how ?".
