My name is David i live in RI. and was introduced to this site from a fellow member from RI. who i made vise jaws for , it looks like you guys have a great site here and i look forward to being a contributor here in the future . A little about myself , at age 13 i started working in my dads machine shop building tooling for different industries here in RI. i remember at age 13 grinding steel on a surface grinder and that is where it all started, i currently work fulltime as a Tool Maker and run the shop part time evenings and weekends under the name of Beavertail Rod And Reel where we also specialize in servicing fishing rods and reels as well as custom reel work , our shop is complete with heatreating services as well as the following equipment : 612 Boyer Shultz surface grinder
8 inch Atlas lathe
Sharp vertical milling machine
2 drill presses
2 ton perkins power press
screw press
3 foot presses
8 inch band/cutoff saw
8x8 thermodine heatreating furnace
We have made several jaws for vintage and current vises and can handle every possible variation anyone can come up with .
