iPhone garage apps

Today, at long last, I will be joining the modern generation and getting a smart phone. iPhone 5.

What are some must have garage related apps or accessories I should get?

I have a few that I use. Pocket Dyno, Dashboard, tire size converter are a few of the car related apps.

iEngineer for tap/drill/screw charts
iMachinist for feed/speed stuff, sine bar math, and hex from flats and G-code
iFormulas for Trig, Algebra, and goemetry (my math skills ****)
triangle solve, You can figure what that one is for
Ohms law calculater

Those are some of mine. Most of them were free. Keith

I got a flashlight app that turns on the camera's flash... and there's that sound meter... and I use "convert" an app that converts from one measurement to another measurement unit e.g. km to inches.

Handymate pro - project / supplies estimator with some other functions
RealCalc - scientific calculator
E Mobile / Mobile Electrician
Torque Pro - OBD II diagnostics (I dont think this one is Apple friendly) Pro version is not free
Engineering Cookbook
Bubble - a level. It kind of works, but fun to play around with

Which dashboard do you use? There are a few in the App Store.

You guys do know that the iPhone has a built in scientific calculater right? Just open the calc icon, and turn it sideways. I've had the dashboard app since I has a 3G The name on the icon is just dashboard. It was free if that helps. Keith

stanley level - its a level. works great. checked it against a regular level and its spot on.

I have Clinometer. It's a digital level and angle finder that measures down to 1/10 of a degree.

I use this one also...

You have to make sure all other apps are shut down though or the reaction speed of the level is really slow.

Works well as a centering bubble for making sure tables are flat.

Room Planner is another good one.

I use Evernote on my phone, pad, and all my computers. I use it to store all my receipts, tool manuals, project ideas, etc. I used it a bit before I had an iPhone, but when you have it with you all the time, it really shines as a one stop information store.

Sorry, I have an Android phone, so it might not transfer to iPhone...... Everyone has listed great apps, here are a couple that weren't mentioned yet and some are a little broader use than you asked:

Gas Buddy, to find "local" gas prices and gas stations, even as you travel - priceless
Square and the attachment - when you sell things at your garage sale, you can take credit card payments, people sign your phone with their finger, and it goes into your bank account, slick.
Tune In Radio (free) - to listen to your favorite radio station from just about any city, NPR (car talk, lol!)
Ebay App to keep up with your bids
Timer - just a big digital count down or up timer

Pandora if your into music. Takes awhile for it to "learn" your style, but if you play with it for a little while it's really cool. Keith

Dewalt pro is cool. Calculate concret, wall studs, drywall calculations, & the normal conversions.

DTC Scan is handy to look up fault codes.

I have one called over 40. Turns screen into magnifying glass with light. Nice for us old farts that cant see well!
