IR 121 Air Hammer

Ordered an IR model 121 air hammer, received model "121/Q".

The manual listed three different models as "121" , "121/Q" and "121/QH" and showed that the specification for all of these are the same. So what is the difference between 121 and 121/Q ?

I know it sounds like a stupid question considering that the specifications are showing the same for all models but there must be something else. I mean, they don't just change model number for no reason, right?

"Q" usually stands for "Quiet" models when you are dealing with IR model numbers

model run #s; i know they have changed in the past for revisions and COO changes

i have a 121 its my go to air hammer; if it wont take it apart....you are in seriously deep trouble

repaired a lot of ingersol tools and the only difference is usually just an added piece of felt in the exhaust to quiet down the spent air.
