Is the IR 212 3/8" impact wrench any good or is the IR 2115 the one to get? Or would you go cordless? Thanks!!
John the IR212 is an excellent old school 3/8" impact with design family ties to the 231 and of approx. the same era.
The 212 was usually the premium 3/8" US made gun offered by many of the tool trucks in the 80's-90's and a bit before. Real nice feel and balance with plenty of power and "feathering trigger" like a 231. It was usually the most expensive 3/8 commonly offered in most lines.
Chances are that just like the 231, it has been made offshore for quite a few years. I'd grab one in a second if they are even close to the guns that I remember.
I am far too old and crotchety to have any info or opinion on the new-fangled flibbity-flab 2115.............

(It's probably great, no doubt).
My kid uses cordless in a Beemer shop all day and seems to love the stuff.
