I had and liked both, sold the 725. It was heavier than the 2135, the reverse and power selector is easier on the IR, and rebuilding is easier for me IF ever needed. Can't go wrong with either though, they both were powerful guns.

The 2135 is a great impact but this toss up should be between the newest IR gun, the 2235 timax and the MG 725.

Either way the IR guns are the winner. The IR is lighter, smaller, more powerful, the controls are easier to use and the IR's trigger is more Featherable. if you use them side by side the MG 725 feels like a POS noisy club of an impact. Not to mention most of the ones I've seen here in the shop can't make it out of the warranty period without needing repairs.

Snap On makes great hand tools but they won't be fu*king me again any time soon with their crappy impacts. Air or cordless.

This is a good dilemma to talk about as I recently went through this.
I had both the mg325 and the mg725
I only use them at my house in my garage on my own projects and side projects I do for people during the week.
I started to get annoyed because I barely used the 3/8" gun and I hated how I had a $400+ dollar gun and didn't use it.
I then came across someone that has an IR2135 and loved the way it felt in my hand. It was a little smaller and easier to hold than the 725 I owned.

So what I ended up doing is I sold both my snap on guns(325 & 725) and bought the IR2135 and had extra money in my pocket.
I do not regret my decision at all. I recently put a boot on it and a high flow air fitting. This gun is a beast and I'm not worrying if something is gonna break internally like I was with the snap on guns.
Also need to mention I had a bad tip valve on the 3/8 gun when it wasn't even a year old. The part was only 2 bucks and easy to install but just annoying more than anything. I noticed the gun was hissing air

But hands down buy the ir2135 unless u have some extra money and want to get the newer 2235 all tho it is slightly heavier and more $$

IR, :+1: on the reverse selector being a pain in the rear on the MG series. And lord help you if you need to adjust the power level!!! Honestly the more I use it the more it irritates me. Not to mention the noise level.

MG725 is heavy, loud and the power selector is by far the worst pain in the *** I've ever seen on an impact. However, rotors don't break on the MG725 like they can and do on the 2135 and the end plates for the motor are steel, not aluminum like the 2135. 2235timax has a wear plate in the motor and the rotor part number is different, though I've yet to see one inside I'm assuming they fixed that issue. That said, myself I'd be looking real hard at the 2235timax....

I can't compare to the snappy. But I got that ir recently and have been putting it through its paces and am extremely happy with its performance.
