I recently upgraded from a crappy oilless compressor to a kobalt 30 gallon? oiled compressor (older 1.8 hp). I'm pretty happy with the sound level. I MIGHT have found a SMOKING deal on a returned 2340l5, I really don't think I need that much compressor, I guess I have room for it but it will be against the house in garage. how much louder will it be than my kobalt now? I also need to weigh the benefits of it versus the cons. I like that I can roll my kobalt around the garage. I will have to share my hot water heater plug for the time being until I get the garage wired for the new one, figure out how to wire everything up and all. I don't want to go noisy again though.
