Anybody know anything about an ingersoll rand avc10a1 air hammer/rivet gun? I got it from my neighbor it's brand new in the box, I was wondering what this thing can do? Can I change the little spring thing on the end and use it to whack regular air hammer bits? Or is it just for riveting airplanes and stuff like my neighbor thinks?

Should be able to use it with most .401 dia bits.

is it possible you have a rivit nut (rivnut) setter?

yea you can use it with normal .401, more power and control than an air hammer. it not a rivnut gun

Yeah, it's the same .401 taper, longer stroke than an air hammer & a "teasing " trigger
