IR Composite Impact Recall

If you have recently purcahsed a new IR titanium series impact, you may want to read the above letter about possibly having a defective tilt valve. The defect will cause the impact to run when you hook an air hose up to it even if you're not pressing the trigger. There is a real limited production timeline that runs April to May 2010 only. The recall doesn't apply to older IR impacts.

i have the matco 1769a, so i dont know if that counts or no, but i havent had any problems in the 6 months ive had it, its the most powerful airgun ive ever owned, better than many 3/4 guns ive had

anyone that decideds to throw away theird because of this as an excuse to buy another one i will take them

Since you've had the impact 6 months, it wouldn't have been made between April and May 2010 and fall in the range of the recall. However, the recall does apply to rebadged IR models as well since Cornwell sent me the letter.

I just broke the anvil on my 2115 ti. i got a little excited when I saw the title. Ill just have to spring the $29 for a new one.

There are two different valve part numbers 2131-302 and 2135-302, the 2135 -302 is the valve affected byt he recall.
