That needs the entire anvil, it's broke, won't hold a socket clip. Not sure on that one, but I think it's a 223.

this has a pin type clutch so you want to look inside and make sure the other parts are ok before trying to buy an anvil. I hope they still have parts for this but some times even if discontinued some people will still have kits on a shelf

The anvil can be repaired using two split lock washers brazed to the end.
One the size of the rubber o ring (inside dia.)
The other lock washer (larger ) may be filed to let a socket pass by.
Of course you need the lock ring and o ring.
Look at the end of any anvil and you will see what is needed.
Another fix is to attach a really short extension to the anvil.
I have tried epoxy without success. Shoe goo is better
But still temporary.
Used anvils are rare and new are expensive.
I think that you would find a ready market for these
To repair and sell. Most tire places have a bucket of parts
You could negotiate for a price
I hate to throw anything away........

Anything you do to this gun that requires new parts, unless you find a NOS rebuild kit inexpensively, is going to be cost prohibitive. As great as these guns are, they're very heavy and techs tend to shy away from them. I've seen them go for >$30 often enough that there's no reason to bother putting money in it. You are better off cannibalizing another gun than buying parts for these. I have an older Blue Point 1/2" that has a worn anvil and I just use it at is. Replacement of that anvil would be 60% of a new SO gun.
