So, it's an AW3800 , or AW3800M? You can use any IR 2112 hammer cover if it's an AW3800, and any IR 2115 timax hammer cover on there, or Matco MT2120, if it's the AW3800M. They bolt up perfect, all parts interchange. Message me and I can give you more info, if you need.

honestly the tag has been gone for quite awhile, basically its a rebadge of the IR2115TiMAX as far as i can see, i bought the gun probaly 3 or 4 years ago. My other question is at this point will it be worth sticking money into when i can get that IR new for $200 bucks.

OK, so it's an AW3800M. It's body is black,right?

Sounds like the AW3800M. I sent you a message.

thanks for all the help, i looked it up and at $97 for the assembly and the gun has been a little weak so i think i'm just gonna bite the bullet on a new one. The funny thing is when i first got the gun i had issues with the anvil sticking in the housing when turning and i ended up having to grease the heck out of it and not it cracked by one of the mounting screws.

You can buy a good condition 2115timax on ebay for $130 shipped. I wouldn't even bother with a new hammer case unless you can somehow get it cheap.

Yeah, it's not worth that much to fix it. I thought that cover was $48.00 That sticking you're talking about, I've seen it several times on those. It happens when for some reason the bushing for the anvil where it comes out the hammer cover, gets pushed back inside just a touch, then the anvil rubs it hard on the bottom of the bushing. Easy fix, take cover off, put on a piece of wood and tap the bushing back out. Then they are free again.
