IR model 30 compressor

Found this at a local yard, can get it cheap. It is supposed to work according to prev owner. It appears the crank is slightly bent, but everything spins free and easy. The date on the tank is 1944. Worthwhile project? It has a 1 hp single phase on it.

What seems most surprising to me in the condition of the pressure gauge. Yes it looks like a good project.

Like $40. It was inside until about a month ago. I think the property got sold and it got junked. I know the yard owner, he said the guy that owned the comp says it was a working unit. I guess the crank was bent when it was junked. They origionally thought the pulley was bent, but to me it looks more like the crank. I think it`s a pretty good deal, just wanted to check with those that know more than me. I want it for home use, to run air tools, possibly more in the future.
