Already done a search. Sorry if it hard to read, I use to speak french!!

Short story; My Gun is low on power. Anybody have rebuilt or repaire it? Worth it, Do it yourself or repair shot. Average cost???

Long story:
I have my 2135 for 6 years now. 2first when I was still in school, so really light use. next 2 was in marine shop, so light use again. Then last 2 years was in garage in automotive shop so heavy use!!!

Now It low in power. The sound is not as loud a it use to be. And today I've made a quick comparison between my 2135 and my 2115. On a 2006 gmc yukon xl, I have torque wheel nut with my 2115 and then, my 2135 barely turn then 1/8 turn. Some zero and other 1/4 turn.

Start by oiling the gun/greasing the mechanism and making sure you have good air pressure at the tool while running. If it is still low try a rebuild kit with new vanes, etc and cleaning out the muffler element over the motor and in the handle, also check the screen in the inlet for debris.

6 years. I'd buy a new impact gun. I get one every 3 years. Even if you rebuild it it will not have the same power and you will not be happy.

How was your maintenence? How often did you grease and oil it? How did you store it? I would get a rebuild kit. If its to far gone.....your not out that much. Take it apart first. See what it looks like inside.

6 years yeah but only everday use in the last 2 years. Not saying it a junk, more to give you an idea of the use it as.

I try to oil at least once a week but something 2 week. Grease may be once a years.

May be buy a new one and a repair kit.... I will have 2 gun!!!

the cylinder and vanes are probably worn out. the cylinders get all scratched/gouged up in those guns if you get junk in them. replace them and it'll be like new.

I bet the forward/reverse selector buttons skipped teeth. Ive had this problem with my 2131QT. In a nutshell the buttons you push to go in reverse or forward have teeth on the end that push/pull a selector that diverts air to make it go forward or reverse. When the teeth skip over the selector its like you only pushed the button in 1/2 half way and have low power.

That make sense! Notice today that the switch in way more easy to push then ever. Will look a this during the week-end!!
