Ir285b 1" impact questions on rebuild

So my shop was throwing out 2 1" impacts and I decided to take them home and see what I can do to salvage them. 1 is a MTS pneumatics where I presume the vains are sticking as it'll impact and then spit out air through the exhaust before impacting again. This one is more of a beater gun that I will attempt to fix if I can or just junk if I cant.

The one I'd love to fix is the ir, but this one has some damage to the hammer casing. Someone must have dropped it and broke off a corner, and cracked the housing. I've seen that they sell them new for 125-200. But I can't justify the price considering I could pick up a used complete gun for like 50 to 100 more snd this was a throw away gun, so it defeats the purpose if I'm just gonna soend a ton of money to fix. So my question is does anyone know where you can purchase some used parts for these on the cheap. Online or local

So I went ahead and pulled both guns apart with the idea in mind to use the hammer case off the mts gun but unfortunately while it looks to be the same size side by side, it's slightly larger than the ir. However I was right and it is the vains that failed and only a $10 fix.

The ir on the other hand is perfect as far as the internals. No gousing, the vains have no wsign of wear, no gunking. Just the housing that's cracked. Should I cut my losses with the ir and just throw it out or attempt to track down a used hammer housing to fix it?

Think I would use the MTS that's an easy fix, whilst looking for a housing or just a complete but knackered one to fix the IR with, or just sell the IR as spares/ repair, you can be sure there is someone out there who will give you some money for it and since you got it for free you cant lose.

If the internals on the IR are in decent shape, clean them up and sell them on Ebay.

Here's some pics. As stated before the myers tire supply gun just needs new vains. After watching a video of a harbor freight central pneumatic the internals look identical.

I attached pictures of the crack. I'm no welder so unsure if it's even repairable. The hairline crack in the casing goes all the way through

You could most likely double your money by fixing it and selling.

jbtools list it at 126 just wait for a 20-30% off coupon.

Aloha,
If you want the IR that bad, just have it welded.

So after much debate, I've decided to just sell the ir285b for parts/repair to someone who might have the know how or just needs a donor. I'd post it in the classifieds but I don't have enough posts. But if anyone is interested please feel free to pm me
