Hey ! Great to see another Irish member on GJ

Not sure if there are others, but I haven't come across any so far.

Nice looking garage you have there, I also love the dog run

I see you're into MKII's, a couple of mates of mine are "Ford Freaks" too.

Anyway, nice to have you onboard :)

Nice garage-any chance of a couple of photos from the back of the garage looking out? I'm interested in,the way it has been built as on frst glance it would seem to be the same thing that I am planning to do.

What size is it-I'm keen to know the ridge and eaves height too if you have them.

Nice Capri & Granada. Don't see many of either of them anymore.:(

I like your stone / brick work, when was it built ?

I see 2 dogs in the kennel, do you have any photos of them?

My poor house is wood :(

I really like the stone work and brick around door. What is the exterior finish? It has an interesting texture. It's unusual to see service pits here, I don't know why really, because it does make a lot of sense. Are they common in your country?

Insurance has killed them. Petroleum vapors tend to be heavier than air and collect in the pit. Insurance companies hate that sort of thing... for a couple of reasons.

You guys sure build them solid. Great to see Ford support over there. Of course I didn't recognize any of the Fords. Nothing like what we drive over here.

hi guys , sorry for the delay in replying , i must check my posts more frequently ! thanx for all the brilliant comments and replys , didnt expect any to be honest ! emm we build all our garages like this here in ireland , not sure of the exact dimensions , id have to ask my builder but i guess it is around 20' wide judging by the roll up door wich is 13' , the length , again just a guess is approx 30' ish !!! ha ha i have three dogs in total and yes i will put up some pics , the outside finish is a plaster/render (sand and cement ) finish wich is lightly colored , yeah i like the brick and stone combi also , plus it is a lifetime finish wich is a bonus coz i live right on the north west coast of ireland and we are very exposed to high winds and bad weather so paint wouldnt be much use outside !!!!

regards terry .

p.s. any ford nuts like myself feel free to check out our web site and community forum www.nealeganrun.com , loads of old ford pics and good chat !

Hey lad, nice garage.
good to see the irish lads posting. im on this a good while now but never seem to post, always get to busy reading and getting ideas off it. love the forum and some class garages. going to start my own thread shortly, have started to build my own garage but its kinda a slow work in progress so ill post some when get farther along.
Id say ive met you before, im in the irish ****** club and bought a yellow mk1 ****** shell of John Egan there at the start of the year(which is going to be my next project). i also brought up the overhauling project to the show this year with the transit.
Drive a blue mk2 with an xe in her. hopefully it will come up below, not the best at posting images.

Couldn't you run a 2x4 the entire length of the pit inside the angle iron frame, to give yourself a margin of safety? The 2x4 would be supported on half its width on the side piece of angle iron...

I'd be sketched out putting the car on that pit...

heres a few pics and a short video of my latest "find" ! , i got word that this 84' granada was going to the scrapper so i took a chance and bought it , had to get the help of a digger to retrieve it as it had been buried for over 15 years , when i finally got it home i messed around with the wiring , put a new battery in and some fresh petrol and low and behold she started !!!!! i,ll let the pictures speak for themselves :bounce:

Probably a little cold for me. The water here in Florida is in the 90,s in the summer. Do you get a lot of wind there? Do you have any issues keeping you stuff rust-free?
