ok, here's the deal....

i'm going to look at a hobart ironman 210 tomorrow. is there anything bad about these machines and anythink in particular i should look for? the owner has stated that it has only had about 5lbs of wire run through it and the pics look good. the price is on the high side, but i'm ok with it IF it's a nice as he say's.

This is an area it sometimes pays to buy new, you get new right down to the liner. Markups on these by dealers are very low and prices are super competitive. If you want something that takes large spools a IM 230, if not HH187 for steel or the HH210, slightly more poop for steel and spool gun ready if you ever get a burning desire to do aluminum. The Hobarts have super arc quality, some of the best in the business.
I am more willing to buy used stick machines but wire feeds are fairly sophisticated and the warranties are long and good although the chances you need it are very slim.
