Just picked up a drill press that was sold through tractor supply under the brand IRONSMITH. The bench top Model is 38-95014 as its a 12 speed 5/8 chuck, 85 MM spindle stroke, 3/4 HP motor.

As I bought it to drill spot welds, was using it last night and found why it was for sale. The round table support or Table support bracket was cracked at the round bulk head. Picture shown and its cheap gray cast iron.

Any idea who made this press?

It looks like a jet, but it doesnt say that or where it was made. The basement was dark late when I took this pictures, but the table is round and the unit is 39" tall from the floor

Anyone ever make this table support?

The more im looking into this drill press, I am thinking its made by REXON out of taiwan,
quite possibly the RDM-100A. While I have been googled a ton I have not come up with a source for the table support.

Anyone know if Craftsman sold a similiar model?

The table support round face is 3 9/16" OD and the round table center pin diamter is 1 1/2" roughly.

I just picked one of these up at an auction for twenty bucks. I too can't find any info on them on the interweb. Can you do me a favor and tell me how the heck I get the top spindle off to pull the belt/pulley housing off the press? It looks like it just turns off, but no matter how hard I try, it doesn't budge.

That looks a whole lot like a craftsman I had at one time

Like I see it you have a couple of options

Option one
Silver solder the piece back on. Then grind flat the rough side ( the non contact non machined side) then get or cut a large steel washer and silver solder it in place to reinforce the table. Put back in use

Option two
Measure the column size and then go looking for a junker drill press with the same size column. Steal the parts from that one and part the machine out

Option three
Find replacement parts from a junker that is getting parted out. Buy the whole table and mount bracket regardless of brand as long as the column is the correct size

Option four
Get the table mounted the best you can and the squarest you can and weld/braze/silver solder table to the mount arm and use it as a non swivel table. By the way you can also do this if you get a replacement table and have two tables on your DP which can be beneficial sometimes. You can also use this trick if you want to put this table onto a donar drill press and resell it verses parting it out.

Option five
Fabricate your own table out of plywood. Many woodworkers have done this and made very nice larger tables that can be better than the original one. You can find plans and ideas online

Thanks for the replies.

I found a very close drill press that I could get spare parts for and bought a new table support. While not a prefect fit, at $16 delivered it was hard to complain.

To the other poster, I haven't needed to take the spindle out not could I ever find anything on the press. Sorry.
