Picked this up for a quarter yesterday; today I went looking for any makers marks before putting it away:

I was a little shocked to see who the maker was! :eyecrazy:

I was also amused by the "US of A" stamp, you don't often see the "of" in there! :D

That's the first screwdriver I've ever seen made that way. Even really old ones I've seen.

Irwin was a highly-respected brand for many decades before it was high-jacked by Rubbermaid to be the name brand for their off-shored tools flogged under previously highly-regarded names...

That's the first screwdriver I've ever seen made that way
. Even really old ones I've seen.

I have a couple of them. they are actually quite comfortable. In cross section they are an oval so you can get a good grip and get good torque. The smooth surface is less desirable if oily, but I like em.
