Has anyone tried those Irwin adjustable wrench's that click, they seem pretty gimmicky and apparently you need one for metric and one for SAE. There cheap so maybe good to keep in the car or something. Thoughts?

I think it may show metric on the other side. I try to steer clear of gimmik tools and not a big fan of Irwin since they moved Vicegrip to China

Ooops... maybe you should look into it before flaming the OP.

I believe they have detents at standard sizes for metric or SAE in TWO different wrenches. If you watch the video Monte posted it looks like it clicks into place.

Still nobody has used one of these? I'm interested in how they work too. I generally don't use adjustables because of the sloppiness of the jaws, but if something like this works well, it may have a place in my mobile tool box.

A bit OT, but does anybody else hate the big, clunky, molded "comfort grip" handles that they're putting on tools these days? The last pair of Vise Grips that I bought had 'em. I cut that **** off.

Yes. I hate that and I work in the cold where cold metal can take away your body heat very fast. It ***** to actually get a good grip where lots of torque is needed and it just tends to deform and you can't get a good grip with your hand/bigger tool. If I want a coating on my tools, I'll use my can of plastic dip. Yeah, the metal/thinner rubber/plastic handles are hard on the hands but I need the job done, not a hand manicure. /rant off
