So I was doing an '03 Civics rear shoes and I forgot (it's be at least a decade since I changed brake shoes) the joy of working (keeping them all intact) with the springs+the wheel cylinder + the anti-size + the impossibly small spring hole.
Behold the Irwin quick clamps are just the right size to hold the shoes in and at the same time act as a wedge so the cylinder does not pop out during the almost impossible task of hopping the spring over to the hole that can't get any smaller.
PS. Yes, I'm with the pinch the non-metal brake line camp so I can relieve pressure (and minimize the fluid run) on the wheel cylinder so I can bring the shoes holes even closer. I vacuum bled afterwards.
