Hello All,

I have quite a few Irwin Quick Grip Clamps. A few I bought new, but most I have acquired at auctions and garage sales. I am able to find replacement pads for the mini clamps but not so much luck finding them for the regular size clamps. Can anyone point me in the right direction for these. Apparently my google skills are lacking!

Thanks.

Those should work they changed the design to have pads more like the Dewalt quick clamps. Instead of being slotted on the bottom they now have a radius all they way around and press on instead of sliding on. They also changed the color to black from yellow.

Here are some pictures of what I am talking about. The first picture is a 6 in. Quick Grip clamp and a 6 in. Quick Grip Mini clamp. The second picture is a later model Quick Grip clamp with a reversible head. The third and fourth picture is the pads. The larger yellow pad is what I am looking for.

Based on the link in post #5 I have sent an inquiry to Irwin tools. We'll see what they say.

Not trying to divert this thread, but I just returned a 15 yr old Kobalt 24" quick grip style clamp that had the squeeze trigger break off. The Kobalt had a lifetime warranty, but Lowes no longer sells them or any others with lifetime warranty. They gave me a same size Irwin, and the cheapness of this tool compared to the Kobalt was striking.

Not the only Irwin tool to disappoint. Sad day.

Looks like the black pads I linked to above will work. As Dsgreen3 said in post #6 they have changed the pads to snap over the jaws rather than slide on - thank god they finally wised up on that design feature.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I will try some of the new ones and see how they work. Wish they made them in yellow, all I see is black.
