Is a cadet heater enough?

I have a 20x24 attached garage and a guy down the street has the same house layout/same garage. I was driving past his house and his garage was opened. He hasn't officially moved in so the garage was 100% empty and was able to get a good view. I noticed that he had a Cadet wall heater installed in the wall. Is one small wall heater enough to do anything for a 20x24 garage? I live in WA so it does get pretty cold in the winter.

You could ask that guy, maybe welcome him to the neighborhood with a gift pack of Coffee or your favorite Local Brew, and attentively listen to his stories.

I have a Cadet Com-Pak Twin in a detached 20x28. It is able to keep it reasonably warm in a cold climate, up-state NY.

I'm not familiar with Cadet wall heaters. But have you considered a ceiling mount heater? One lag screw, wire it up and you're done. I have a Fahrenheat 7,500W heater in the corner, hanging from the ceiling of my 20x22 insulated garage in PA and it keeps it at least 50 degrees on LOW in the dead cold of winter (0 degrees). Been running since 2015, no issues.

When I lived in OR I had a Cadet "The Hot One" 220 VAC electric ceiling mounted heater in a 24x36 shop which was partially insulated and it worked fine. I hooked it up to a high voltage digital thermostat to better control the temperature. The thermostat was only rated for 15 amps so I ran the heater on the low setting all of the time.

Thanks for the comments about two above heaters.

Trying to decide what to have put in my soon to be built 28x28 garage fully insulated, attached to the side of the house, house is "total electric" but do have two 125 gallon propane tanks for the Generac standby generator 14kw.

I don't need to heat the garage all the time, as I'm not going to be working in there all the time.

There will be a 8x8ft enclosed insulated entry way (concrete floor) between garage and house, that will have electric heat.

Heard back from the Builder, he's still leaning towards the Hot Dawg Propane. I have the Propane supplier coming out next week to talk with me.
