Is a reversible ratcheting wrench repairable?

I have a 10mm Craftsman Industrial reversible ratcheting wrench that slips in both directions. I called Apex hoping they would just send me a replacement as they did before on one of my combination wrenches. Instead I got a girl who sounded clueless and told me to return it to Sears. I told her Sears doesn't carry the Cman Industrial line in order warranty it. She kept insisting to return it to Sears anyway. Now I'm figuring I'll just go to Sears and see if they will swap it out for one of their USA made Cman Pro reversibles that everyone claims are the exact same except for the stamping of the name. Before doing so, I was wondering if anyone knows if these can be easily repaired? I've tried my best to figure out how these are assembled (or disassembled) with no luck. Nor am I familiar with the internals to know if anything could be stuck or not. Would soaking in ATF or similar do anything? Any suggestions?

Also, have you sprayed inside (as well as possible) with a penetraint /disolvant? often it's just gunge buildup. maybe a soak

I don't know about repairable, but I've had a Gearwrench come apart, and there is a thin spring clip around the circumference of the moving part of the box end that held mine together.

After writing my post I decided to put in some ATF to soak. Don't know if it will do anything since the wrench is still basically new. I believe it's the first use with this size wrench when I found it skipping right away. I plan to call Apex again this week in hopes of getting the guy that helped me last time. If not I'll ask to speak to a supervisor. Just hoping maybe it would be an easy fix in the meantime. Thanks for the help!

I have no problem at all disassembling one of my Gearwrenches. It's a Craftsman brand (on one side) and Gearwrench (on the other side). My 7/16 comes apart on its own if I use it quickly. I can't 100% say I got all the parts that fell out the first time, but when I reassemble it with the parts in the first picture it works fine.

I had a 10 mm Craftsman Industrial fail. I got it warrantied at Grainger, I just made sure they had the wrench in stock before I stopped by.

Thanks for the pics! I had no idea the internals were so basic.

Update: Decided to stop by Grainger on the way home from work today. No hassles at all exchanging the wrench. I thought there may be since I don't have a business account with them. They didn't have a replacement in stock at their location, but they're having one shipped direct to my home from another location and should arrive tomorrow. Too bad I probably won't be able to go this same route on exchange in the future. Seems Grainger is clearancing the Craftsman Industrial line.
