Looks like $520/shipped for four or $260/shipped per pair.

These are really slick looking and would be pretty handy when doing maintenance on my VWs or some work on the Barracuda when it gets back together. I certainly don't have the ceiling height for much of a lift, the portable/movable short 2-post lifts are up there in price and pretty cumbersome to store out of the way.

I think they would be nice to have for those of us without a lift.

But if I was going to spend $520 on them I'd probably just apply the money to a lift.

Seems to me the system would be better if it was hybridized with Race Ramps. Have a set of long ramps to initially put the car on the stands, then you could quickly jack the stands up the rest of the way and move the ramps out of the way.

i like it, pretty interesting idea. i looked on the site and didnt see anything about it, but whats to stop the car from just rolling off the stands while your lifting/dropping an opposing side? it doesnt really look theres an indent in the platform to somewhat capture the tire. i think if i was going to get spendy on stands and didnt have a lift, i would opt for just some of the nicer tall jackstands so i could have the option to take a wheel off if need be.

Personally, I don't think they are all that impressive. I would rather have a low or mid rise lift. No pulling them from storage (of which most garages are in short supply), setting up, using, collapsing, putting back in storage, etc.

I watched the video before the guy sort of disappeared according to youtube. I like the idea my damn ramps slide across the slick floor. Unfortunately my interior framing on my big garage is to low as is my bank balance for a lift. I wll probably make a set for myself PCM different things work for different folks.

that is really little improvement over Rhino ramps on all 4 wheels at a 1/4 of the price, and would someone please explain to me how the floor jack he is using could ever lift a car this low, up this high? - it couldn't unless he used something like 2x12's, a little at a time, and that type of jacking and shimming operation little by little would be precarious and take two hours if it could be done safely at all. (at some point the entire car would be resting on stacks of 2x12's)

I understand putting money toward a lift instead, IF you have the room for one.

I've yet to see any short lifts for pricing anywhere close.

As far as the four ramps, how would one do that with a very low car? One that you couldn't put ramps in front of the rear tires on?

Admittedly it would be $1000 more for a low rise Bendpak, but I think I'd have an easier time spending that than $500 for the lift stands.

And if the lift stands were $260 for a set of four I'd be all over them.

Well, in my situation I have the depth that I could have ramps behind the rear lift stands and then flat beams between the lift stands. Once it was on the stands I could pull the ramps and beams

I know these keep you from working on the wheels/brakes, but the amount of room you get under the car by lifting the wheels and not having a low-rise lift in the way is a big thing with these.
The lifting height is great for pulling a trans and doing a clutch, exhaust work, lube changes on trans, engine, diff.

If I didn't have the room or cash for a lift, these would be on my short list along with some pit stands for wheel work. (LINK)
