Is E22 Torx even a thing?

I'm looking at the Snap-on E-Torx set that includes E4, E5, E6, E6, E8, E10, E11, E12, E14, E16, E18, E20, and E24. But no E22...

Then came across this wiki page which makes it look like E22 doesn't exist.

But then noticed Tekton sells a 1/2" set with E22...

What's going on here? Has anyone actually ever seen an E22 fastener?

I wanted to invest in the Snap-on set for it's quality, but not if it's going to leave me hanging one day with a missing size. Doesn't look like Snap-on sells an E22 socket seperately.

Also, what do you guys think of the Snap-on putting the E16, E18, E20, and E24 on a 1/2" drive size rather than 3/8" in this set? Useful for hiher torque applications or annoying for tight spaces?

E-Torx head bolts are small diameter on large size bolts. Similar to socket head bolts. You need 1/2” drive in larger sizes for proper torque

I’ve needed E Torx a fair bit, not least on account of owning two BMW’s that are both “E Torx heavy”.

Never needed an E22.

The fact that it exists suggests they are used somewhere, but I’m thinking fairly rare and fairly recent.

I wouldn’t worry about it till I needed one, or at least found out where they are used.

With regard to Snap On using 1/2” drive for the larger sizes, that’s fine, the bolt sizes warrant it.

With regard to supplying “sets” with mixed drive sizes, I hate that. It assumes the owner is working a certain way - i.e. from a big box with 3 different size ratchets and extensions available. In practice, I seldom do, so find these “sets” of limited value.

I’d rather have a set of 3/8“ E Torx from E8 to E18 then add a 1/2“ set from E14 to E24 if I needed it. All these sizes are available, so perhaps better to put together your own set.

I must admit I now buy KoKen (or Hazet) in E Torx, primarily on cost grounds, but I have no complaints about the quality.

I find that I need a very limited range of E Torx, and there are probably only two or three sizes I use regularly, but I find it more useful to have shallow, deep and universal in these popular sizes, than big sets of shallow that I probably wouldn’t utilise.

I bought the OTC Master Torx set which includes e22. Don't think I used it. I'd seriously recommend looking at this set it was a little over $100 and am really surprised by the quality of the bits. I have the Snap on regular torx sockets but find myself using the OTC set more often than not. I don't think I ever needed E22.

Apparently if the flower-head chrome cap comes off of some Mercedes wheel bolts it exposes an E22 head, which will then be needed for removal.
