My old trusty Fluke 73 meter seems to have lost its digital display... wondered if anyone has had this problem and if it is worth fixing.

I thought the 9v batt was dead, which it was, so I changed it out and just get a faint hint of the digits on the display panel. It's only tested DC currents.
Can't figure out why she leaves me now.

Opinions on the next step - I thought Flukes were
pretty bulletproof... is my problem a Fluke?:)

If you go to Flukes site they have a lost of recalls that meter might be on that list and if thats the case u will get a new one. iv allready done this with my Amprobe meter

Before you order a repair kit, try following the how-to mentionned by mark40sw but just clean the elastomer with alcool.
