Just curious if I can spray foam in this void which has an electrical wire in it. It is a 20A circuit so I hope it is 12GA wire. Will I have any issues with heat dissipation or the wire overheating? The circuit currently supplies a gas dryer and usually a radio or other low amp item. Just wanted to ask here because I can't seem to get a definitive answer via Google or anywhere else. Thanks in advance

Most of the wiring in my house is embedded in the foam of the ICF walls. The inspector had no problem with it. Many new homes have foamed walls now, and of course, there is wiring in them.

That was my thinking, too. Just worried that, if the foam encapsulates the wire, it may cause issues. Even some electricians I ask seem not be clear on that. I guess I can always contact the company who makes the foam or chat with my "friendly" inspector.

Thanks, bc! Gotta say, I get a real kick out of reading your posts and replies. People like you really make GJ a great source of wisdom for those, like me, who lack the experience. Appreciate your, and everyone elses' time and contributions!
