Is it okay to splice wires inside LED fixture?

Hi Folks: I am installing Sylvania strip 2a led lights (4 foot and 8 foot) in my shop. I am using luminary cable and Lutron Powpak dimmer/controllers. I am using small junction boxes attached to the light fixture to splice the low voltage wires separately outside of the fixture. My question is whether it is acceptable to splice the primary electrical supply and ground wires inside the light fixture itself when doing pass through wiring or whether this needs to occur in an external junction box as well. There are multiple knock-outs on the light fixture (see attached picture). The use case is wiring multiple lights on the same circuit (e.g. pass through wiring). My understanding is that it is okay to connect high and low voltage wires inside the fixture when it is the terminal connection (i.e. only supplying that light). Many thanks for any insights. Yes, it is acceptable and expected. The wiring compartment in the fixture is listed for this purpose.

I'm not sure I understand why you're using a separate box for the low voltage wires.

I saw some other posts stating need to separate low voltage and high voltage wires where there are splices. Thought being removing outer jacket from low voltage cable removes 600v rating and increased risk for short. May have been some code interpretation by others somewhere in there. Thanks for the input. Daniel

Nah. In Luminaire cable, the individual jackets all have the same rating. Plus, you can use one switch/dimmer instead of two separate devices. (Eaton #SF10P for instance)
