Didn’t want to hijack the other garage stereo topic

Wireless connection...no, unless you have a way to connect a Bluetooth receiver to the stereo (AUX input). You would plug the BT receiver into the AUX in port, change the input on the stereo to AUX, then connect your phone to the BT receiver wirelessly. Looking at the 1st pic, it doesn't look like you have an AUX input, unless the middle button on the input selector is a CD/AUX input (I can't make out what it says above the button)

What does the Bluetooth receiver look like I’ve never seen one
Do the RCA plugs plug into that

A few years ago, we had an adapter that plugged into the Ipod, and transmitted a signal to the antenna of the stereo. You tuned the stereo to a dead frequency , and adjusted the transmitter to the same frequency

I have one like that. Bought on Amazon. Been using for 3-4 years now. Works good.

I guess I'm a dinosaur. I just use a cheeepo 3.5mm to RCA stereo adapter and plug from the earphone on my phone to the tape input. Maybe I'll get a Bluetooth adapter. It would probably be easier than having to go into the garage to change tunes when I'm outside on the patio.

I used a 3.5mm to RCA to plug Alexa into my garage stereo from the 80's. The voice command is nice, plus I can drop in on the living room if I need something.

The 3.5mm to RCA adaptor is the cheapest and easiest. But bluetooth is nice if you want to keep your phone with you to pause or skip tracks or whatever. Most of them have 3.5mm jack output, so you'll probably need that 3.5mm to RCA adaptor no matter what.
You can use any of the inputs you aren't still using, except the turntable(phono) input... the voltage level is wrong.

You could also get a Sonos Port and connect it to your stereo. More of an investment than a bluetooth adapter, but you music will not be interrupted when the phone rings, notifications etc.

I ordered the one daves69 posted
Hopefully that will work
If not I’ll try another one

The thing in the link is just a cable I think.

I have had this one for a couple years. It's a knockoff of a more expensive one but it works great. Haven't been that impressed with the very cheap ones.

I get an easy 50' range, 100' is very possible with clear line of sight. Audio quality is as good as a direct connection.

It's the thing with the antenna in the picture

I used my old Samsung Note2 plugged into an input port on the back on my Sony receiver as my Pandora pickup. Got a magnetic style phone mount stuck onto the receiver case. Works great. I get to choose my music preference and no commercials other than the very few Pandora commercials. I may get a Pandora monthly subscription just to get rid of the commercials.

I use a BLUEGATE Bluetooth receiver adapter to play from my phone to an old Ghetto Blaster boombox.

If you connect to your TAPE input, you'll probably have to hit PLAY for it to work for any bluetooth receiver.

The FM modulator mentioned will work, but most of those that are powered by the the phone do not have good range. And FM modulators usually sound like garbage.

You might be able to use a Y-adapter to connect the BT to the CD input and still have the CD player connected too. Just don't play both at the same time.

Good thread.

I have a very nice - old - system I too that I bought in the late 80's. Paid a then-fortune to me. My significant other tried to convince me to give/throw it away when we recently moved - HERESY!

I wanted that system and finally got it all those years ago and it would kill me to see it get trashed! Motor driven volume control, double cassette players and one of the CD carriers that hold 6 or 8 (I've already forgotten!) CD's. The thing STILL pleases me!
