ISN'T IT TIME TO GET RID OF THE "FREE PARKING " SECTION ?
For a guy that want's to get rid of the section, it seem like you post fairly regularly there?

ISN'T IT TIME TO GET RID OF THE "FREE PARKING " SECTION ?

I think so far the best suggestion I have ever heard would be to remove free parking from the new posts search. Or at the minimum make it an option so if people think it should be "gone", they can have it "gone".

I'd be sad then because I'd just never see Free Parking again. I refresh New Posts all day long and that's how I use GJ.

simple fix, don't read it
You mods do a good job on this forum. You are not going to please everybody all the time, and you will never have a rule set that covers every single possible situation.Sadlysome times some people can not agree that they disagree and leave it at that.
I guess what we as Mods need here is something (more guidelines and ideas) to take back to Admin so we can make sure FP is what we all want that works for us all.

I just don't see any upside to doing away with FP. I find FP to be a value-added part of GJ.
The craziest thing happens when I see an FP thread title that doesn't interest me... I don't click on it. Or in some cases I do click on it and after reading a few posts find the subject doesn't interest me so I hit the back arrow and move on.
Free Parking may need a bit of a cleaning up every now and then, but I don't think it's broken.
Oh and one last thing:
As to the original poster: You need to sit back and relax. This isnt your message board, you dont create the rules and have ZERO real say in how its run. If you dont like something then dont click on it. No reason to get your ******* in a bunch and complain like a little baby over nothing. I dont care about peoples electrical work, tons of posts on that-I just dont click on the post.
The only problem with a discussion is that there is no democracy here, the last I checked this is more of a monarchy and I mean no offense to Ryan. He is the one that truly keeps the lights on and at the end of the day he is the one that will make any and all decisions.
First of all, other than your personal attack, I haven't noticed any posts here that would cause anyone to "sit back and relax". Everyone has just been expressing there opinion civilly.
Secondly, as a member here, it is my board and I have every right to suggest a discussion regarding the rules, content and any other policy that concerns it. If you somehow feel that because we may have different ideas on a subject that I can't express my wishes, then maybe it's you that needs to relax and rethink your position. Even those that can't live without FP have agreed that as written the rules are unenforceable, which is my biggest problem. It's pretty hard to only allow garage related topics and then add that it's ok to post anything you may talk about in a garage. Evidently the wording of the posting rules need to be addressed so that it is clear on what can or can't be posted. The other choice could be to set up a new section for those that need to discuss their everyday life, and leave free parking for the garage related topics. Since we are supposed to be changing the site in the near future, maybe now is the time to discuss this sort of thing.
