I am looking at a 1990, series 1 Mohawk 2 post lift for $1,500.00. It will be a 9 hr round trip ride for me to get it. The guy is firm on the price.

I have read all the posts, have all the factory manuals. It is overkill as far as the design...but damn...to have a 10' drive thru.....so, am I crazy? I look at what could go wrong and it is just the wear parts...pump, motor. Any thoughts???:

What is the # rating? and if the wear parts arent worn to where you have to replace them now, and your time and fuel isnt to bad, i say a lift for 1500 isnt a bad deal.

Its a 9000 lb lift.......the adventure happened, I was seduced and made the purchase. It is a hell of a piece of equipment. It will be fun restoring it...although the paint color may have to go!

Congrats! Did you put it on a trailer, or truck it?

I placed it on a car trailer. Thank God I had an engine hoist! I am very happy....the wear parts show nothing...all the pins and the rollers are fine...it simply needs a new coat of paint to meet my needs. It was an adventure.
