Is menards discontinuing master craft?

The local menards just put up a huge "crescent" brand tool display and some mastercraft sets are on clearance. The crescent tools are all made in China. Is this a sign that they are getting rid of mastercraft tools? I sure hope not as I switched from craftsman to mastercraft for my hand tool needs when craftsman went Chinese.....

It's Masterforce.... And yes, it appears they are downsizing the Masterforce line of tools (and shelf space) in favor of the Crescent line of tools. In fact my previous post on this site earlier this morning said just about the same thing I just typed. Lol.

Yes but they aren't getting rid of MasterForce at all. Just stopped selling certain things of Gearwrench, MF, and Performax brands and replacing those items with Crescent. MF is still the major top brand at Menards in house. Come hang out in the Hot Buys! section where the Menards Permathread has all kinds of good info for you! - Paul
