Is my ratchet broken?

My snap on 3/8 ratchet seems to be broken where the socket goes onto the ratchet it wobbles a lot can't anybody help

Yea, it will be.rebuilt free of charge by snap on if you send it it. Unless you know of a local dealer. He should be glad to help you out.

Pull it apart and check that the backing plate is flat.

While obviously not the same ratchet, I had a Craftsman premium ratchet that had quite a bit of wobble. Turned out that the backing plate was bent slightly allowing the center to flop around a little. Few taps with a hammer solved the issue.
