Guy wanted $25 for the case, said the wrench was not working. Went and talked him down to $15 (clean wrench BTW, barely any scratches), had a pretty good chat, seems like both of us watch Kijiji daily for deals LOL
. Found why he said it didn't work, the screw/nut attaching the dial indicator to the torsion shaft was rattling around. Took at least 30 minutes of swearing before I finally got the nut to mate with the damn screw. Dial works perfectly as it should, thinking the drive is jammed, tried banging on a wrench which was turning a hex bit to no avail, will try a vise next. Seems like it was overtorqued at some time? Don't have high hopes for this, but I now know what the problem is.
