Is my socket drawer wormy?

Most of the work I do is on 60s and early 70s Ford cars and I have this hodgepodge of sockets.

I made this to hold the sockets I use the most, each row is a size. At the bottom of the picture are the metric sockets I use the most. It's 16 gauge sheet metal with steel rod dowels which are tig welded on the back side.

Is this wormy (weak, abject, or revolting)?

Too much blank space for me, but if it works for you, enjoy it
Yup, I feel the same way, on both counts. IT will stop me from stealing your organizer tho, so there is that.

I'm not one to talk about shop organization, as I have so little.

If it covers your needs and makes you efficient that is all that matters.

Btw, That grease on your Ratchet selector switches is giving a lot of the membership panic attacks. Lol
I bet that half inch ratchet was purchased in the late 60s, wait until some of the guys see the selector on the 3/8s ratchet. It broke off one day so I made a new one.

I really like it! I think you did a great job. It’s simple and kinda classy compared to some of the socket storage options out there.

Looks great, nice fab skills. Use this for awhile and see what you like/dislike and make a version 2 if you think the improvements would be worthwhile.
*I can’t believe all the claimed OCD experts missed that you have 12 pt and 6 pt sockets mixed in the same row😕

That actually doesn’t bother me as some of mine are the same way lol. The space really sets me off though and a little bit of it not going the right direction either but the 6 and 12 point mix don’t bother me. Also doesn’t bother me if it was different brands either.

It would work for me. Most here would avert their eyes at my mixed collection of Craftsman, Husky, Harbor Freight, No-name Japanese, Taiwanese, Chinese, Snap-on, Auto parts store brand, and pawn shop sockets collected over the past 45 years.

They turn nuts and bolts, and that’s what counts.

Thanks everyone for the great comments, here's the prototype.

Dude this is your thing for figuring out how you work best. Not sketchy at all. If you know where your tool is and you can tell me where to find it without looking. It saves so much aggravation and anxiety. Good job.
