you can only backfeed a panel to a total of 120% of the rated bus capacity (this applies to solar or other grid tie sources, not backup generators which are switched with the main) so for example if you have a 200amp panel with a 200a main feeding it, the breaker backfed by the grid tie inverter can only be 40a

That is true for residential under 2005, however in this case we using service entrance conductor taps instead of back feeding a panel.

oh yeah....probably would have helped if i looked at the picture :rolleyes:
