What are the difference between these Square D Switches, One is a 40/60 the other 2 are 30/50 I think one of them has adjustable pressure spreads and the others are fixed? Does it matter which I get as they are adjustable between 30/50 and 40/60?

Am I better off getting one with out low pressure cut off?

Yep, 30/50 or 40/60 are the same they just come pre adjusted to those numbers. They have a single adjusting nut so the 20 psi differential stays at that. The other model has 2 adjusting nuts, the additional nut sets your differential +/- 20psi.

If your well produces and has ample or unlimited drawdown, don't worry about a low pressure (well-saver) switch. Those are meant to trip if the well pump were to run dry. They actually can be a nuisance if something like a hose bib is going full blast and somebody turns on another water source like a second after the pump cuts-on. The pressure could drop below 30 and trip the saver.

Not sure. My 40/60 pump switch is the same number but it has a CP at the end. Also I've seen BP at the end. I don't know what those mean. I know I can adjust the differential +/- so it has a second adjuster nut. That could be what the BP means.

There is a well guy around here somewhere, let me see if I can find his username and maybe you can PM him.

My current switch as you can tell has to adjusting nuts, I thought one did Low and one did High pressure, Mine was a 30/50 and years ago i adjusted it to 40/60. I thought I turned both. Square D's site isnt easy to navigate.

Big one raises cut in and cut off pressure. Small one adjusts the differential (difference between cut in and cut off).
