I blew two sets apart putting the drawers back in moving my tool box. 73.50 a set is steep or no? Is there a Asian source? It’s a krl1000 series box.

It helps to have them already removed from the box and in your hand when you confront the Snap-on dealer.

I just go straight to buying the slides but talk to the Snap-on dealer and for Pete's sake tell the truth and see if you can get them at a discount off the list price. If the dealer warranties them even better but still offer to pay if need be. I am sure the dealer might be able to help you if you are honest and not trying to get something for free.

Unless your dealer is really good I would just call. No waiting for his inventory, chancing he forgets for a week, or waiting for the day he stops by.

Is it a KR 1000 or a KRL series?

A KR 1000 is older and a driver is not likely to have the slides on his truck. You’ll need to have him order them.

A KRL series, like a 1023 is much more likely to have in stock and you should be able to swap them out no problem.

They call it the krl 1000 series so I figured it’s anything that’s krl10xx

Snap On chat may not even ask if you're the original owner, just have your serial # ready 'cause they'll need that to reference part numbers, unless you have a part # for the slides already

When I chatted for new lid struts they wanted the serial # to know what I'd need. Pulling the box from the wall wasn't convenient but the part # was right on the struts. Once I told him that he was happy to just send me out 2 of the part # I provided
