Hi,
I own a pair of snap-on PWCS7CF and the cutting blades don't touch. They cut solid wire pretty good but with stranded wire it always leaves a few strands un-cut. I was wondering if some of the guys that own these pliers could tell me if they are like that by design or if it should be warrantied

Well I'm not at home to see if the blades close completely. I do know mine will cut stranded with no problem.

Well the cutter work kind of like scissor, the blades overlap. But mine have a gap meaning strands can just pass in the gap uncut
None of this type (bypass cutter or shear cutter) should have any gap when fully closed.

YOu should be able to get them exchanged, I had my set exchanged with my old dealer when the hinge started to freeze up. Great strippers on my third set.

Given the price paid for Snap-On I would Be swapping them out until I was happy...
I know my old Snap On guy would let me pick which one I wanted from what he had on hand, then the next week he would check with me to see if what I had Bought was working OK.

I figure my pliers must be weird and that most others Will be fine. Anyway, if the Man hands me another defective pair, I'll just return them on the spot.
