Is the host from cool tools the worst host ever?

What's the deal with this guy? The show is almost unbearable. Why does he yell all the time? Annoys me because it could be a great show.

Yes, he can be very annoying at times, but he is not that bad. He does liven it up a bit, and it appears that he actually likes tools. Remember it is a tv show and so there has to be some entertainment value. I would rather watch him then someone who lacks enthusiasm or is just plain boring.

I hate to say anything bad about people in general, but he is awful all the loud shouting and histrionics. Darn one day he started to tell about a great new tool then all the screaming and before you could say: Jack jump over the bean stalk he moves on to a different tool. I apologize but if I was his boss he would have been let go a long time ago, for someone more toned down without all the screaming.

He spoils what could otherwise be a better show but has anyone else noticed that everything featured on that show is presented as the "best ever"? What's the point of having commercial breaks when the whole blasted show is a commercial to begin with?

I don't mind the host as much as I find the gimmicky garbage they always show. seems like the auto-hammer type **** tools.

I used to watch this show all the time, never missed because I liked seeing the new stuff they had. Finally I couldn't take his screaming any longer and have not watched it in a couple years. I am enthused about tools too, but I don't walk around my house screaming about them.

Same thing with Two Guys Garage. The two hipsters on there don't scream, but their obnoxious personalities and always trying to be cool killed the show for me.

Wow, I've never seen it, and just from this thread, I'm starting to hate him. I'm tired of people yelling at me on the radio and TV.

Roy Underhill never raised his voice, and he was entertaining. (Okay, I admit it, I was waiting for him to cut himself.)

Watched the first few episodes when that show first aired 4 years ago. Got a bit annoyed with it, mainly due to the host. Yeah the host Grunggy is annoying, not only that, but he just doesn't seem like a tool guy. Seems more like someone who should be hosting on the foodnetwork or MTV. Cool Tools needs a personality like Mike Rowe. He's a tool guy.

The host is annoying, but the real reason I don't care for the show is they only show 5 or so tools (which are usually gimmicky) and the rest is filler.
