I sure this topic is on here and bled to death, and I could search all day for one, but who has time?

I just searched Snap On's web site for S936 and it brings up a S80.

So I assume the the S936 is discontinued and the S80 is the "new" model?
And the S936 was a 36 tooth and the S80 is an 80 tooth?

Is that the only difference?

Thanks in advance guys.

I just sent Snap-On my S936 with peeling chrome on the handle. I wonder if I will get an S80 in return. Doesn't matter to me much, fine tooth action isn't often necessary with 1/2" drive.

Yeah and don't bother bidding unless you bid $100. :(

Prices can get really high on those. I snatched mine for $50 shipped a few weeks ago  Engravings, chipped chrome and all! But now I should be getting a brand new one from Snap-On.

I just snagged a s936 off of eBay for 40.00 bucks. It has peeling chrome on the bottom of the handle and that is it. No engravings or other markings. Will snap on warranty the chrome and if so will yet replace it with the s936 or the s80.

Peeling chrome is a warranty issue and yes, you will get an S80 in return since the S936 is no longer produced.
