I'm very close to making my purchase and have narrowed it down to Alpha Garage and Legacy. Alpha quotes $110 for 25 pounds of flakes and Legacy is $249. Huge difference. Is a flake a flake?

there are only 2 or 3 companies in the USA that actually make flakes... Your call what a fair price (markup) is.....

insider price is under $3 a pound. - of course resellers do need to make some profit...

I sell 10 pounds for $50 and 55 pounds for $225 - you pick the colors (as many as you want) and % of each color.... - these custom blends are dropped shipped from one of those chip factories.

If we were talking about coatings, I would say yes. We sell Torginol flakes. I am not going to comment on prices because you are working with two very good people and you do not need a third. Some differences in prices in general can be:

  • Custom Blend?
  • Shipping Costs Included?
  • Stock Vs Special Order

My last comment is this. I do not know the guys from Alpha Garage, other than they seem like very good people. I know Scotty will do everything he can for you short of coming out there and spreading the flakes.

Wow, that Polyurea floor on your website looks nice. That's the first I've seen of a DIY kit. If it were a little less expensive I'd consider it.

Torginal is our supplier also. We offer and price flakes more as customer service.

I understand there are some import (Chinese?) flakes out there, but have no experience with them.
