You can use your normal Amazon account/login, but prime benefits don't transfer.

Yes, you can use your normal credit card. You can pick whether they bill you in USD or Euros.

No import duties that I've noticed, but I've only put through orders up to $500.

WRT pricing, the prices on Amazon.de include VAT, but they remove it when you get to checkout. That usually covers most of the shipping costs in my experience. The biggest issue I've had is the time it takes to get them to your house. If you don't pay for expedited shipping, it can take 3 weeks or so and the tracking isn't great. That said, Amazon has taken care of any issues I've come across.

Yes. The contact form for English is here.

The issues I've had are customs held a package for 2 weeks. I called Amazon, and they shipped another to me for free. The original package eventually cleared customs and showed up a few days after the replacement.

The other was someone at DHL opened my package and stole a large Gedore ratchet from the box. Amazon is shipping a replacement. They can have stock issues with uncommon tools though. So, I'm waiting for Amazon to get replacement ratchets in stock.

Out of 30-40 orders, I've had 2-3 issues. Overall, it's a pretty good experience.

I just finished going through this myself about 30mins ago.

I used wife's account.
I used my CC.
No VAT, $7 (IIRC) freight.
Stahlwille 14/11 for $85 shipped....cheapest by far I could find it anywhere.

I bought quite bit a while back as said before no major issues. Shipping does take longer but that’s to be expected.

I just got my first order delivered. You can either translate each page or set to English. When you select items it will tell you if it will ship to USA. Most Prime items will ship here. Careful searching will allow you to save money on certain Wera, Knipex, Hazet, Stahlwille, etc. brands. Some items will be cheaper, some more, so shop carefully. You can add items to cart and go through buying steps until just before you accept order and it will tell you exact amount in USD.

Example of two items I got for good price:

I've used Amazon in both Germany and the UK. I've also bought from other firms in Italy, Germany, and Australia. The Australian purchase was interesting because it was a set of motorcycle stands that made it possible to roll a bike around in any direction. They sent it via Australia Post with full tracking and it transferred to USPS when it got to LAX. It took 5 days total and the poor mail lady staggered up the walk with a huge box that weighed 40 pounds!

It's mad, I buy from Amazon in the US and you buy from it in the UK :lol2:

What bargains are you finding on the UK site?

I buy books that aren't readily available here and also DVDs. I have a DVD deck that can play PAL format discs, and I enjoy British TV far more than the garbage available here. It all began with Upstairs, Downstairs. Foyle's War is a favorite.
