Is there a "free for the taking" forum at The garage journal. I have some older test equipment, and don't want to mess around trying to sell it and then have to ship it.I hate to just scrap it if someone wants it. One item is a Craftsman oscilloscope.Probably from the 1970's The other is a roll around stand with a tach-dwell meter,an exhaust gas analyzer,an old timing light, and a couple other meters.I think it is Marquette. It is older than the oscilloscope by far.If someone wants to pick it up to use or enjoy,it is available for $0.00.I can get some pictures to post if there is any interest. **Update:see pics in my later post in this thread**

That is generous of you, 67.

Maybe you should add your location to your profile so folks know whether you are within "pick it up" distance or not?

I've seen threads for truck parts on other forums like this and they do fairly well. Especially lighter stuff that can go for cheap in an envelope like small interior pieces. Maybe we could make a sticky in the for sale section?

One of the 4x4 Forums in SA started a "Give it away before I toss it!" thread which has proven very successful.

See link

Simply post a pic or description of something that is still good, but that you want out of the way, and where you are based. Whoever answers first gets to take it, as long as they make the arrangements for the pick-up.

The rules are what they are.I can live with that. Just thought it would be a shame to junk this stuff if anyone wanted it. Saw one of these meters on ebay for $8 with no bidders.

I think the 100 post rule is a little tough. I gave away some stuff that I would have posted in the classified if I was allowed.

It's a rule that was set up to try to keep the forum members protected from scammer and thieves. If you choose to become an Alliance Member, you post a classified ad or wanted ad no matter of your post count.

That equipment would be great for decor on the shelves in man cave / garage. Someone will want it.
