Is there a generic version of the Gladiator Garageworks cabinets?

Over the past 20 years or so I have ended up with about 10 of the various wall mount small cabinets, including the fold out mini bench one, a bench, half a dozen or so of the rolling chests, 5 of the 36 inch standing ones, and 2 48 inch ones.

since I started getting them, over The years I have found many equivalent quality pieces at a lower price point. I’m not saying the pieces are bad, just that some better stuff is available for the same price, and equivalent quality at a lower price.

I’ve had a chance over the years to see other people’s home, hobby shop, and working shop stuff and compare in contrast to when I started. It stains, gets dings, needs adjustments, had durability, etc. on par with some stuff costing half as much.

However, a friend/neighbor loves the look of the pieces. They are not looking for the wall amount or tool cabinet pieces, just the six foot tall, 4inch or 36 wide 18 inch deep stuff. But, they are a retiree finally outfitting their dream garage and the number of cabinets they want is about twice their budget. Does anyone know of a very similar looking brand / match at a lower price point? Thank you for any info.

Robot or human?

Neither have a "diamond tread pattern", but are both cheaper. The seville at least has stainless doors. Or they can do as you did and slowly aquire them as they come up on Craigslist. There's a few in my area, but still want about $300 for the used tall cabinets.

yeah, he has done Facebook marketplace and Craigslist and found a few pieces, but prices are not much better than new, or if it is a cabinet to save 100 bucks on it’s like two hours away.

i have seen some with 32W/71T/16D ones, plain black from amazon with five shelves for like 150 bucks of similar durability/quality, and some for twice that ruggeder than the gladiator ones. There were a lot less options on the market when I first bought some back around ‘06 or so, and just stuck with it and added a couple over the next few years, plus more around ‘16 or so. I don’t think I would start with them again if I was going into it cold now.
