Have you looked at Fastcap Kaisen foam? Price has jumped just a bit over the last year but a 2'x4' sheet of 7/8" is currently ~$25US and 1-1/8" is ~$30US. You should should be able to cut 2 inserts out of a sheet.

Not sure of any other similar foam around that has the same or better price but if others out there have some suggestions that'd be great. I'm in the market for some foam in a few months when I finally upgrade my box. I used it often and it holds up very well.

Go to Walmart and get some back pack camping foam sleeping pads. I cut them to size and spray glued them to get the correct thickness and just cut them to fit. If done correctly. They fit and work almost as good and as nice a the Og foam. Plus it’s like 10 per may and I think one may will do two full width packout cases

I got 12 sheets from fastcap long back, on furlough for the time to cut it all, might get 3 pieces can't remember, but usually I put a non cut out piece and custom bottom and have used 2 smaller pieces for that. Even did some tool box drawers.

I had also ordered the perfect cut pieces for each box from kaizen and used them as templates, all the boxes are slightly different.

I believe they ship via mail. https://www.foambymail.com/

I am sure no pun intended.

I have lucked out as in I knew a guy that had a huge stack of foam in a warehouse next to the station I work at. He allowed me to have a couple pieces that are around 1 1/2”-2” thick. I had done the cut outs for the tools before. But I just have too many tools to get it to work, if I had all my tools in the foam I would have to buy a lot more packout boxes...............maybe your on to something:evil:
