Is there a reasonable garage floor covering?

I am getting a small barn shape garage (16 x 24) built in my backyard. Currently, just the pad is poured. The framing is supposed to start tomorrow.

After framed, I would like to either paint the garage floor or use that material with flakes (HD or Lowes sell).

I do not know which one would be best in the long run. My plan is to use my garage to store a boat and maybe later on using as a wood workshop. Nothing major.

What kind of floor covering would be the best and/or easiest to put down?

I only want to apply once in my lifetime!! :)

I live in Florida.

Thanks

Tile. Links in my signature for some education. Do it once, and never do it again. And if you got ceramic, you can score it at less than .50c a sqft.

Saw your tile floor. Looks nice. I was reading the posts after your post but could not tell what kind of tile you used.

Disregard about the type used. Saw your second link!

If you are going to 'paint' the floor, you should really consider a 100% solids garage floor epoxy coating. There are also a lot of roll out and garage floor tile products. TrueLock PVC with a top coat is pretty nice and there is a world of polypropylene garage tiles as well.
