Is there an attic fan like this?

I've thought about installing an attic fan almost every year, but I keep coming back to the same problem and that is I don't have a good place to actually install the fan. I don't want to punch another hole in my roof nor do I have anyplace I could mount it, say, on the side wood veneer area that would actually be able to draw the hot air out.

With that said I do have 3 wind turbines installed on my home. You know the ones...they look like this:

One of those turbines is in the perfect spot but I don't know if it's possible to exhaust via the turbine vent. Is there such an attic fan made that could attach to the turbine vent somewhere?

Are we talking exhausting the attic to the outside or exhausting the house into the attic?

If you are exhausting the house, the first, and least expansive, experiment would be to just open the house to the attic and let the existing turbine system take out the air.

If that isn’t enough, the next step would be a pipe with a dia to match one of the turbines from the turbine down to the hole in the ceiling. This would bypass the attic “storage” of the heat.

The last step would be a power unit to replace the turbine.

Could you please put your location in your profile...it makes it easier for us to give you better answers.....oh, and welcome to GJ.

Why powered? If your attic is properly vented, you don't need to power vent it. Convection does a great job of getting the heat out.

I have a powered attic vent....I disconnected it....I get better cooling with my turbin vent...powered by heat and wind.....

I'm in the process of adding on to my house...and as such, I will be improving on the existing ventilation even more.
