Is this a decent box for $20?

I am looking for a secondary storage box for some extra tools. I picked up one of the Task Force mid chests for $10 at Lowes, but honestly I am not impressed. The metal is thin and flimsy and I just don't feel good about it. This seller said he would take $20 and the box is bigger, not sure how much better quality though until I see it in person.

Personally I'd wait or spend a little more for something sturdier. That isn't going to be much better build quality than the task force you just picked up.

Not the greatest box but for secondary storage I can't see going wrong at that price. All depends how much tools your secondary storage includes as that's not a very big box.

mmhm... I wouldn't let that baby slip by...

that box looks like it would be about perfect for just sockets and ratchets/adaptors/extentions

I'd own it for $20, but I would probably offer $10 hoping to get it for $15 first...

Considering that around here $20 is the asking price for just a small carry box, even a lower end Waterloo top at that price is a no-brainer. It's better than the current Cman offerings, so why not.

This box with a two drawer and a flip up door base new is around 150 bucks. We have some at work, not bad quality over all. Metal is thin and drawer guides are cheap. Offer him 10 bucks.

Didn't Waterloo build Craftsman boxes at one time? Do they still?

They did. For several decades. Some of Cman's bests boxes in fact.

Now ? I think they're made by the lowest contract bidder in China. But, I can't say for sure since I haven't taken that close a look at the new stuff. All I know is that it's one step above tin foil nowadays.

Here's an update. The guy was actually asking $50 but said he would entertain $20. I wanted to ask before I went to see it because the wife has me in a thin tool budget. Anyway I haven't heard from the guy all day so it's not mine yet. Not sure what the deal is because he said Friday we cod meet today.

Big pet peeve of mine, if your selling something on Craigslist and only list you email address as your contact info then check your damn email more than once a week. There is a freezer I am really interested in and haven't heard anything from that seller either. If I have some thing listed for sale I will check a few times a day because I want to get rid of that **** and I don't want to miss a prospective buyer. OK rant over.
