Is this a factory craftsman wrench?

2378.jpgFound several craftsman wrenches like this and picked them up. I've never seen one with the open ends that look like this. Is this something they put out? What's the purpose of it if they are.

This. Craftsman called them Quick Wrenches.
Did they call them that during the =V= era? I know they stopped for a while, then came back out with them (black/gold packaging) and they were labelled as "Quick Wrenches", but not sure if the originals carried that name.

The ones quick wrenches I have are like a standard wrench with a semi-circle cut into the upper jaw, this one confused because the top jaw is shorter and the semi-circle is where it ends

you are supposed to break it loose with the box end and then flip it around and use the ‘ratcheting’ end to ge able to get the fastener out faster/easier
